Gridraw provides a simple and comfortable alternative for drawing UML diagrams. The application's straightforward functionality will relieve you from many hassles that come with UML drawings. It lets you get straight to the point and draw your diagrams quickly and easily, without going through any complex options.

The application is available in free and paid editions, for Windows and Linux. its core components are distributed in a ZIP archive, so you only need to extract them, instead of going through an installation process. There are no special requirements you have to meet and you don't need powerful hardware.

The application lets you work in a gird-based editor, just like in a spreadsheet program. All you have to do is double click a cell to create a new class, after which you can in its contents. It is also possible to insert additional blocks in individual classes. If you need to make connections between your classes, you will have to select the first class, choose a connector type in one of the top menus and click the second class.

Gridraw's simplicity is what makes it an excellent alternative to other UML drawing tools. One of its advantages is the fact that you can draw and entire diagram with your keyboard, using various hotkeys. You can draw from start to finish without touching your mouse.

Drawing UML charts can't get any easier when using Gridraw.

Pros

You can draw UML charts with your keyboard. The application's controls are simple and easy to master.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to mention.
